This project comprised a contemporary extension to and adaption of an existing residence to provide an independent living environment for a person with physical care needs. Constructed of concrete and complimented by a simple palette of finishes, the extension houses bright open-plan fully accessible living and sleeping spaces, which flow seamlessly into the exterior landscape beyond. Superbly executed, this project also comprises fully integrated [yet inconspicous] overhead tracking and an innovative voice recognition system to assist the home owner with the performance of daily activities.
